ok i'm almost at the point were i do want to buy the b18b (ls) cuase my cousin has a Vtec head he said he would sell me for like 100 bucks and like another 100 for the trany. now some one told me that if i bought a ls motor and put a Vtec head on it i would have to change my trany so thats what i'm asking. another question that i really need to know is would i have to change cluster or just the wiring or could i fit a 96 ls cluster in my car? thanks

you will not have to change the trans, no such thing as a vtec trans
you need to make sure that you use a cable b series transmition
to use a diff guage cluster will require rewiring of the harness and prolly the obd1 cluster conectors

 

holy crap batman that is a garbled mess. I think you are asking about doing a bseries swap in your crx/civic. Therefore, you will need the same things that everyone else needed. Mounts,linkage,tranny,engine,axles,etc.

 

ok heres a better way to say things. ok i am planing on doing the b series swap. the engine i'm thinking of buying includes the trany ecu and whatever i need. and some one told me that i need to change the trany if i did a vtec head i wasnt sure if it was true i thought i'd ask.. but its all i needed to know. thanks. i wasnt really sure. but is 900 bucks a good deal?
