Icon4 96 Honda Accord - Clutch Pedal gets hard suddenly no leakage!

Recently one month ago clutch master cylinder leaked so i replaced both Clutch Master and Slave(it was bit old). did pulled out the air and every thing was fine but once in a week clutch pedal goes hard while driving. Clutch engagement was adjusted little bit less than the center to the start and end point of the pedal. whenever it goes hard the clutch engagement comes closer to the starting point of the pedal which causes a clutch slipping on high revs!

Since few days clutch pedal stays harder and the engagement point almost at top point which was causing clutch slipping. Yesterday i replaced the the small pipe from clutch oil reservoir to the master cylinder because i felt it's taking air, did the bleeding and everything was fine i was pressing the clutch pedal frequently and tested for more than 30 mins but it was fine.
Today in the morning i started the car and suddenly i was feeling that it's getting harder slowly and the Clutch Engagement point is also moving higher! and finally it gets too hard and the engagement point as well almost came to the starting point of the pedal.
There is no leakage in the system!
it's so annoying !! Help guys!!

before the hardness it was adjusted to 1 - 1/2 inch free play and pedal was smooth! can you tell me that is it okay to get hardened after the first adjustment?

I'll adjust it today and will post an update!

I can't speak for why the clutch feel would change. After adjusting so there is only 1/2 inch of play when you push on the clutch pedal until the free play is taken up you can do another bleed on the hydraulic system just to be on the safe side.

Yesterday when i started my car to go back to home from office the pedal was fine with 1inch of play i did pumped it few times to see then i started feeling hard feel and the 1inch free play gone which means the clutch engagement as well came to the starting point of pedal which in result of clutch slipping!

after arriving home i did adjusted the pedal to 1/2 inch free play the pedal becomes normal and engagement was perfect then i tested again the same issue occured within 10mins, i did bleed the system and adjusted the pedal again and was testing the pedal while driving and in parking also but this time the hardness came after an hour and again the clutch engagement moves to the starting point of pedal in result clutch plate slipping.

but when i did adjusted the clutch when arrived home at that time there was i think more than 1cm of thread out of the adjustment nut, after bleeding and readjustment the thread moved inside the adjustment nut, and if i adjust it now i know the thread will gonna come out of the nut means no adjustment remained!

mc and sc both are newly replaced a month ago!
is mc or sc going to fail ?

it actually sounds more like the clutch assembly itself is bad and is slipping, it's possible something is also warped, possibly the flywheel, how long has it been since you replaced the clutch ?

i think more than 6month i changed from f20b dohc vtec(because i broke the timing belt adjuster main bolt thread from to root: ) to h22a at that time i've checked the clutch plate was in good condition.

bro i know clutch plate is not the issue because the problem occurred when i replaced the clutch mc and sc! i was reading a nissan forums thread and guys are facing the same problem and this problem starts after replacing the mc or both, some have already replaced clutch plate , pressure plate, fork as well but not solved!!

this is the last reply on the nissan thread
