01 TypeR ECU help needed
Good day, greetings from Oz and thank you if you respond!
I have a 2001 Type R 1.8 engine fitted into a classic Mini. The Integra Type R in Australia came with a "Red Key" immobiliser system - consisting of an immobiliser chip in the ecu, a module under the steering column and a RED KEY. I have no module from the column or red key. We have looped the circuit direct to the ECU thus removing the column module and fitted an immobilser defeat chip from DOCTRONIC in Austria. My problem is I still can't start the car - there is no signal to the negative side of the injectors. The engine will start with a squirt of Aerostart (34% Ether) but stops when the Aerostart is burned. Does anyone know of a way around the system or what I'm needing to do to start the engine?
Thank you for your hopeful impending help!
Kevin
