Default 2nd gen Odyssey manual swap

I have a 2000 Odyssey. Known to have transmission issues and I personally hate everything about automatics, especially how unreliable they are, I.e. all of my forward gears just gave out today on my way to work. Soooo I want to swap in a manual transmission, maybe from a TL or something else with a J series. I want to know if anyone else has done this before and what all I would need besides an assload of tools and time? Would it bolt right up and I'd be on my merry way after minimal fabrication or is it gonna be a nightmare of wiring and recalibrating and custom making ****?

PS I'm not asking if this is a good idea or what I should do instead. hennything's possible 😉

Default Re: 2nd gen Odyssey manual swap

Hey!

i am building an endurance racer out of a 2002 odyssey. I was think of the Acura trans as well. From what I have learned, it seams like it’s just a matter of fabrication to mount up the shifter and shifter box.

that said, I’m building a race car and I have a functional view of the interior. There is probably some craftsmanship ahead of you to mount the shifter with a nice look. Not that that should discourage you at all! 6 speed all the way.

good luck with the swap and maybe we can be of help to each other.
