Hi I have a 1988 Honda Civic hatch dx that I desperately need to get running only problem is I'm broke and O'Reilly's auto parts wanted $200 for a distributor so I went to pick and pull and got a distributor off of what I thought was a compatable Honda I honestly can't remember if it was a crx or Accord of a similar year to 88 and I went to install the distributor and it fit on my motor and one of the two wiring harnesses connected just fine but one of the harnesses coming out of the distributor is 7 pin and the hondas wiring harness that needs to plug into is a 5pim connector so my question is basically can I had wire the matching colors and if so what about the two wires I would be left with??????
