Green key light on CRV flashing
Green key light flashes, car cranks but won't start. ( doesn't do it all the time ) engine managment light stays off. When the engine managment light eventually comes on key light goes off and car starts. Honda 2005 CRV 2.2 Diesel UK model.

You have problem with the immobilizer system
When the car doesn't start, it is because the chip in the key isn't recognized by the ECU
It can be caused by a number of reasons

Unfortunately not.
Easiest is to habnd it to a dealer so they can check what exact is the problem as it can be a number of different reasons.
If you do a quick google search you will get a number of results, so the problem is not unheard of.
