2001 honda civic ex fan not turning on
Step 1 - Make sure cooling system has been properly burped. Recommend you use a spill-free funnel (Lisle 24680). Some say it helps to slightly jack up the front of the car. Never had any problems leaving it level.
Step 2 - Check fan fuses.
Step 3 - Jump the thermoswitch connector with a paper clip or small piece of wire. If fans activate, switch is bad. Replace.
Usually by the time you reach step 3, you've solved it. If not, post back here.

Or your fan isint working, take some wire and connect the blue wire from the fan to the positive side of the car battery, and the black wire of the fan to the black - side of the battery. If it doesn't turn on it could be you need to replace the fan. For fun test the condenser fan the same way and you'll see what the fan is supposed to do if it is working.
