I have a Honda Accord 1999, V6, with about 153K miles. I have this car for many years and has given me great service all along.
A check engine light came up couple of years ago (PO740 - solenoid / torque converter) but I kept driving without any problem. Recently, it has developed a problem. About 4 out of 10 times, when I am stopped at a red light, the engine dies and I have to restart the car before taking off (I understand and don't mind the honking from cars behind me).
I took my car to AAMCO and they told me that my transmission is working fine, but I need to replace the torque converter to take care of code PO740. They also discovered codes PO335 and PO336. I will appreciate if somebody can help me understand if the loss of power at the red light is due to codes PO335 and PO336 or if it due to all three acting together. Thanks
