Is it possible to swap a D17 Engine into an ED9 CRX Chassis? If so, how?

Post Is it possible to swap a D17 Engine into an ED9 CRX Chassis? If so, how?

Hi ,
Does a D-17 A1 engine and 5spd trans fit into a 1991 Honda CRX ?
I have a d-15 B2 engine auto trans and i want to trade it out for a standard 5 speed,
and my cousin owns a d17a1 out of a 2003 civic
just wondering if it will fit ?
haha new to honda kinda 7 years ago i rebuild the d15b2 but now i want a 5spd and its hard to find a cable trans in my area
looking for some advice
thx

I don't know whether it would fit or not, but why do a d17 (arguably the red-headed stepchild of the Honda engines) when you could do a tried and true B18 which will make more power, more tq, and have VASTLY more potential for upgrades?
