Kyle Lopes is Getting Back Into Road Racing - Let's Go!
Hey guys so as you can tell by the title of this post, I'm getting myself back into road racing. I already got myself a 92 civic hatchback I'll be racing with. I was once into but then got rid of everything unfortunately. My only question would be suspension. Is the koni/GC setup still around? Or are people using other setups.
There are others out there now. I'm still using the Koni/GC setup. It's still a decent customizable setup on the cheaper end of things. I may upgrade at some point, but, it's handling all my needs at this point.
Ya that's what I figured. I've tried doing my research but it seems like I couldn't find anything good on suspension as far as "recent" goes. Progress use to be a good setup as well. Just trying to get some input
Give Fortune Auto a try. The affordable 510 series coilover are very customizable to your car setup and valved according to the spring rate you choose. You can get Swift springs to go along with it. The best part of all is that the coilover are assembled in the USA and their support is awesome.
give them a call!

Edit: Apparently after some discussion they are covering the cost of overnight shipping of the product, so that's good.

I still use the Koni/GC on our Civic racecar but had a set of fortune 510's buillt for my auto-x STR S2000. They are awesome to deal with on the phone ( smart peeps). Reasonably priced. I use my eibach springs on them and will send them in for service this spring as they've been on the car for 2 years. I
I'm curious about other setups than the KONI/GC option. I know everyone swears by that setup, but I've got to think there are other options out there for similar money. I'm not opposed to that setup especially at the price point but I don't want to sacrifice anything for a little bit more money if possible.
I own a DC2 integra and will be doing some track days for sure.

I just ordered a set of Progress Auto coilovers (450/450) for my em1 si. After I get it set up I'll come back and review. Gonna be running at Road Atlanta and maybe Atlanta Motorsports Park this season so I'll get a good comparison.
I'm curious what info helped make your decision to buy from Progress Auto? Was is previous experience with the company, referral, price, or just something different?
