!1997 Accord that won't start when wet
Before I replace the plug wires my accord would have trouble starting in the wet-rain. After I replaced the plug wires it is now worse. When wet it will not start. The starter simply goes into click-click-click mode. When dry it starts with no problem. I've started it, had it running and sprayed water on wires, battery to starter and the coil area w/ no affect - it keeps running? Battery is good, believe the starter is good, the plug wires are brand new....any suggestions would be appreciated.
Stop spraying water on the engine.
That is electrical , with copper wire that corrodes. Once resistance builds in the harness the voltage passing starts decreasing.
Check your connections. Make sure battery voltage is high, 12.6x. No growing crystals on the battery terminals, that's for the Ford guys.
