Icon5 94 accord lx engine swap

First off, I would like to say I am a new Honda owner. So with that said, I just Bought a 94` accord ls 130k on it. I bought it because from what I have been told it was a great deal for only 700 with minimal rust on the wheel wells(which will be getting fix soon). It is complete stock and to my knowledge it is stock L22 is motor from what I was told. So with you all knowing that what Vtec motor can I put in it with a manual tranny(auto at this time will be converting to manual)? Thanks in advance.

Just an FYI, most times, but not always, the minimal rust around the wheel wells ends up being a complete fender or quarter panel replacement on these cars. They rust from the inside out!

As far as engine swaps go, what are your goals and budget? Also, why do you need VTEC?

Quick and easy VTEC swap would be a 94/95 OBD1 SOHC F22B1. Bit more work for swapping in a DOHC. They would be the F20B, H22A or H23A. Transmission depends on what you want out of the car. Lots of info in the FAQ on swaps.
