OBD2 drive cycle 04' Accord
I have a 2004 Accord and the latest smog test failed because the OBD2 monitor is not ready. I remember disconnecting the battery three months ago and didn't think anything about it. My car is strictly for commute driving. About 16 miles a day. About 4 miles are freeway one-way and surface streets all the way back home after work. Come to find out, in all this time, the OBD2 was never reset, hence the smog test failure. My mechanic just shrugged his shoulders and said I should drive the car more and if that doesn't work, put the car on a dynamometer for $180. I was hoping to avoid that and do the drive cycle needed.
Anyone know the drive cycle to reset a 4cyl 2004 Accord?
And how exacting does it need to be? I've seen various drive cycle lists and they seem a little impractical for testing in real-world conditions. What kind of wiggle room do I have when performing a drive cycle.
Thanks
