Default Vac line?

I just bought a 96 four door. Used to be boosted. I’m not experienced in anything boost at all. When they removed the cluster from the pillar, there was a line that was left behind that’s constantly sucking air. When I pinch it the idle drops really low. How do I properly remove it, and what adjustments do I need to make to get my idle back to normal?

Such a hose is for a vacuum / boost gauge, it is not stock. Find the other end of the line under the hood and disconnect it and block off what it was connected to.

You're probably going to have a lot of parts that are not stock.

Thank you! I built a hatch a long time ago but it was just a z6 rebuild kit and some suspension I’ve never messed with anything that is or used to be turbo’d so some of the leftover stuff is new to me and searching for answers isn’t always easy when I don’t necessarily “know” exactly what it is. The harness is different too. There are some female plugs that don’t seem to go anywhere so I have a lot of cleaning up to do. The body is A1 and the clutch is nasty so that alone is worth the 800 to get a build going. I just have so much stuff to address with the basic mechanics of the car before I can even start doing the things that I actually want to do.
