B Series Tranny Cases
Hello, H-T!
Without getting into details because I know I'm an idiot...
I replaced one of the CV axle seals on the trans today and after I topped off the fluid, I over-torqued the fill plug and cracked the tranny around the threading.
I made a video showing where & how it cracked and chipped a piece off.
Sorry for bad quality but it's clear to see what happened.
So my question is - can I just swap tranny cases into a different common B series case? Like from an LS integra or something?
Thanks!

You know that isn't really the fill plug right ?!? The actual fill plug is found closer to the back of the transmission just behind the inner joint of the Left side axle... it has a 17mm bolt head on it. What you have damaged is actually the seal cap that exposes the countershaft locating circlip. It is a really hard repair because welding up the damaged area requires getting the aluminum clean. Tough. This may be terminal if it leaks.

But the real question here is... can I swap everything into another B series case? I see them cheap in my area...
Yes, you can swap everything over. You will need to shim the diff and mainshaft. The mainshaft requires OEM specialty tools and a dial indicator with stand.
