Icon5 Alternator removal 2014 CRV EX-L

I'm replacing the alternator on girlfriend's 2014 CRV and have the alternator unbolted and wires disconnected. I've got the serpentine belt off and have removed the bracket for the coolant overflow reservoir. I had hopes I could manipulate the alternator and pull it toward the passenger-side fender but those hopes were dashed by the cruel realities of life. I was hoping to avoid removing the power steering pump but it looks like I either do that or remove the radiator. Getting a new girlfriend is Option C.

If I merely unmount the P/S pump I hope I won't have to disconnect the hose(s) and worry about fluid leakage.

Any advice on how to get it out would be appreciated.

Problem solved. The trick is to take off the belt tensioner pulley. There is just enough room to remove the alternator through the resulting space. The last problem to solve is to wrestle the belt over that top pulley. The old belt was tight getting get off and the new belt must have shrunk in the wash as it isn't going on. If I discover a good way to manipulate the belt I'll post it here.

There is no P/S pump on this car. As I have learned, P/S is electrical on this car. Duh.

PS -- The bolt holding the pulley on has a loose nut on the back side so be sure to keep that from falling down somewhere inaccessible.

The radio and GPS came back after pressing the power button on the radio for several seconds. There's a small, lighted red symbol of something to the right of the opening for the CD. It goes away after the GPS comes back. I'm not sure pressing this button was necessary to get the radio to work again. I had the volume down when I turned on the ignition so maybe it was operational right after I hooked the battery back up. But the GPS definitely needed the power button treatment.

I tried to put the aftermarket serpentine belt on but it was about 3/4" too short. Part no. verified by Honda dealer so I know I had the right belt. It proved to be impossible to install. The old belt was still in good shape so I put it back on till I can find a different belt of the right length.
