92 Honda Accord DX shift lock
I have a 92 Honda Accord Dx was running one day and the next day it would not start have tried the fuel relay and the fuel pump checked fuses and looked for broken wires one thing we noticed was that the shifter was locked can this prevent the car from starting?
It won't start, or it won't crank?
If no cranking then it is most likely the circuit for the shifter interlock and the neutral safety switch is causing an issue.
Use the key to push into the slot right of the shifter, place shifter into Neutral and see if the engine will crank, if not place it in other gears to see if the engine will crank.
If the engine will crank in any other gear other than P or N then the gear selector switch is either out or adjustment, filthy or busted.
Have you checked for codes by jumping the blue two wire connector located above the passenger side kick panel?
Jumper the connector with a wire, turn ignition to II(ON), watch the CEL or D4 lamp for flashing codes.
