sup HT , gotta 2003 pilot and my vtm light came on about a few weeks ago , no change in drivability , trans shifts smooth , i changed trans fluid (oem), rear end fluid (oem), disconnected battery to see if it would reset , light continues to stay on , any pointer on this fix

 

Did you use VTM-4 fluid?

i did replace with oem fluid from dealer . im confused why it dont come off , i dont wanna take it to dealer just for them to tell me it is something simple . thanks

 

Transmission requires Honda ATF.

Rear differential needs different fluid - VTM-4.

You may need to get a dealer involved to at least read the error code causing the VTM-4 light. A standard obd2 scanner most likely will not read the Honda system code involved. Finding out which code is display will give you a starting point to maybe a bad sensor. Then decide if you want the dealer to fix or tackle it your self.
