brake light warning problem
1991 honda Accord EX Wagon non/ABS has 5 brake lights, all are new and work when pedal is pushed. the brake lamp warning light comes on when the pedal is pushed and stays on. someone mentioned a brake/taillight module. were these on 1991's? we have replaced all of the brake system parts on the front, the master cylinder, brake booster, front calipers, front pads and front brake hoses except for the proportioning valve, wheel cylinders and rear drums. i pulled the fuse to reset, light came back on.
its likely the brake switch stop pedal piece has broke
its the piece the switch bottoms out against, over time they get brittle and brake

i've replaced the switch and the button stop thinking that was the problem, based on age. light still comes on, but only when the whole car is cold. if it sits in the sun, the light turns off. any idea if there is one on this car and where the stop light failure sensor is, remember this is a wagon. i have followed the wire a little bit and they run from the sockets up and under the rear floor.
Stop Lamp Failure Sensor - connected to rear stop light bulbs and harness, alerts to problem with stop lamp warning light at base of picture of car on dash that also notifies if a door is open. i need to know where this sensor is. was it used on my wagon? how can it be behind the left light if the power cable runs from the light sockets toward the front of the car under the rear floor?
