Default Suspension parts question?

Can anyone guide me on suspension parts. I want to get my boyfriend shocks and struts ? I’m not really sure what to even look at. Was going to get skunk2 but after some research I found out they’re no good. I don’t know anything about cars. This is his project car just figured getting him parts for his birthday would be a good idea.

What year/make/model of car does he drive?

Have you considered getting him a gift card to a performance parts shop that sells a variety of parts? THMotorsports, perhaps?

It’s a 1998 Honda Civic. We live in the mountains so there’s no performance shops up here. Could I still get a gift card for an online store ? The only car parts store we have is Napa lol.

Yes. THM is an online shop. The reason I suggested them is that they have a variety of parts available for his choosing...and they also can offer parts that are not on their catalogue.

He can order what he wants and have it shipped.

They are also a site sponsor for Honda Tech, and they sometimes give discounts to honda tech members.

Call them up and talk to someone. They can set you up.
