I'm aware that the del sol glovebox is unique and only the del sol ones will be interchangable; but has anyone done a swap or conversion on theirs so it has a key lock?

i know the rear boxes behind the seats have locks but was wondering if anyone ever made the glovebox also lockable via a key

 

I'm curious to this as well. What were they thinking back then??
