Hey I was planning on doing a k-series swap on my 2002 civic lx. It has an automatic transmission and I was wondering if anyone knew if you could do a k-series swap and keep the auto transmission? And if so which one will work?

 

Not unless you fabricate your own mounts, or swap all the chassis mounts from the donor car to the Civic. There's only been one automatic K-swap that I've seen in recent years. See here: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-...-swap-3301989/

 

Well I know that Hasport has motor mounts for it I was just wondering if the tranny will hook up. Thanks for the link though. I’ll check it out and see how he did it

 

Wait, you want to keep your stock D17 automatic transmission? If that's the case, then no... it won't work. The K-series transmission mounts on the opposite side of the engine bay then the D-series transmission. And, they're entirely different bellhousings.

 

 

Just for reference, its almost cheaper to just find a chassis that is already manual and K-swap that.
