1992 Honda Civic wont start HELP!!!
So I have a automatic 1992 honda civic and it will not start but the engine cranks. It also won't shift into drive or reverse or any gears. Check engine light is on and I tried paperclipping it for codes but light doesnt blink. All electric components works...fuses are good. I can hear the shift lock click a few times when I turn the key to on position but it does not click when i step on the brake pedal. Brake lights works too.

Take the paper clip out. When you turn key on but don't crank, the check engine light should come on and then go off. If it comes on and stays on, it's not going to start. The most common cause of that is the main relay.
Yes, take it out and resolder it. Once you are sure the main relay is good, the other thing that causes this is the ECU itself. Especially if you can leave the key on for up to several minutes and have the CEL go out. If you wait for that and then crank, it should start.
Also check the ECU ground wires on the thermostat housing. If they're loose you'll have intermittent problems.
