To preface, Ive got an automatic 95 accord lx sedan with and 2.2L f22b2 inside.

One very, very cold midwest morning, (-40 degree wind chill @ 25 mph gusts) about last week, I tried to start her up and with a few cranks she finally started, but soon after the engine killed itself and will no longer start. After diagnosing the noise, it was easy to see that we needed a new starter because the current was shorting on one of its secure points.

Once we put a new starter in, we could clearly hear the starter spinning inside the housing but still no ignition. (This is where we jumped the gun a bit) The next morning after doing some research we both thought to have narrowed it down to either another faulty starter or an issue with the ring gear on the drive plate. Now, had we noticed the pulleys and belts rotating on the alternator, this next part most likely wouldn't have happened. Regardless, we dropped the tranny and checked everything out with no big looming issues. Just to be sure, we even tested the the starter inside of the tranny to make sure it was connecting to the ring gear, which it was. So confused and tired we reinstalled everything in hopes something changed or that we didnt inicially seed the new starter in right.

This brings us to the present. Since puting everything together, nothing has changed. So we didnt screw anything up but the same time nothing is happening. Starter cranks and turns drive plate, but no ignition. So at this point we're gonna be checking to make sure the engine is getting spark, fuel, and compression.

As far this post goes, i figures id throw it out into the forums to see if any of you fellow honda nuts would have some incite as to whats going on.
