I think it's possible. Not with Honda in the past, but this year, perhaps.

Wolff on the other hand is not so sure.

I can't wait for someone to flip their car and land upside down and they have to red flag the race to extract the driver out.
Maybe then the FIA will notice what a dumb *** idea the halo is.

Wow! That's so true! The thong sandal is such a dumb idea. Hopefully it will be gone by mid season.

James Hinchcliffe also admitted he would love to test a Formula 1 car but believes the limited number of race-winning seats makes the series a less attractive proposition to race in full-time compared to IndyCar.
This quote shows that it's double sided. F1 teams may indeed by close minded when it comes to looking for new drivers, but when it's consistently only 3 teams tops that can win a race, Indy car drivers might not even want to bother with F1.

Work had been getting in the way but now with the shut down...oh wait. NowI'm working pro bono.
Thanks to Tim for setting this in motion. This winter has been interesting and quite busy so far. Almost 9 degrees below normal for Jan so far.

The halo isn't going anywhere. The teams would have to design all new tubs mid-season for it to be gone and that won't happen. It won't look awesome but I don't think it's going to look as bad as we think it's going to look.
