Default Led headlights

Hey guys so i have a 95 civic and had a question about the headlight wiring. So im looking at installing led headlights instead of the hids that came in the car when i got it. My question is, all the led kits ive looked at say 55watt. Can i safely run 55watt bulbs even though the oem bulbs are 35 watt?

Default Re: Led headlights

Was your car equipped with factory HID lights or was it an aftermarket HID conversion kit?

If it's the aftermarket HID kit, you would need to remove it along with it's ballasts and wiring, and install an LED conversion kit which works in a pretty much the same way.
New led kit will have all required components and appropriate bulbs so you shouldn't worry about the wattage, just choose the right bulb size, so it could fit in your headlights
