1994 Prelude Advice/Options
I have a 1994 Prelude that I've dumped a lot of money into. It currently has some issues (motor and some body) and I just don't really think I want to put any more money into it. I've tried listing it on Craigslist, but everyone on Craigslist wants everything for $5. I don't expect to get all the money I put into it, but I refuse to sell it dirt cheap with everything that's on it. Anyone have experience in parting out a car who might want to comment on their experience? I'm not sure if I want to go through the work of doing that either - but I'm not sure what else to do with it. Other ideas welcome!
Dude....dude. I have a 96 VTEC on which I'm in the middle of a rescue/revival. I realized soon after buying this (I got a great deal since it needed some work) that the Prelude has lost most, if not all support from aftermarket companies, and has been seemingly forgotten by the Honda community. Part-outs are few and far between, aftermarket parts are expensive, and these things are a pain in the *** to work on! I'm not looking to part mine out so I can't comment on that, but I do feel your pain in general. I bought mine to flip it, and then quickly realized that there's just no market for them anymore. I've seen multiple nice preludes in my area for less than I would want and they haven't moved in months.
I used to be part of all the Prelude sites and forums when I owned by 2001 SH like 10 years ago, but everyone is gone. For some reason, the Civics still reign supreme. That's part of the reason I'm looking to get out of the Prelude game (again) and back into an EG (again).
Either way, if you're looking to sell some parts, let me know haha

Yeah, mine was originally a bit of a rescue (years ago) too. I've not looked for parts any time recently, but surely there's still some stuff out there...right!?! A decent amount of parts are interchangeable between the generations and other Honda models.
I kinda hate Civics
I used to have one back in the day and after owning a prelude I didn't have much interest in them anymore. I don't like to have the same vehicle that everyone else seems to have!
What parts are you needing/interested in?

See, I'm just the opposite. I was always into Preludes more, more exclusivity and just looked plain cooler haha. But now that I'm older, I've realized that there are more important things than being exclusive or cool. There's something to be said for readily available (and cheap) parts!
It's funny you mention that, because I'm buying an EK hatch tonight, and I've decided to try and sell the Lude. I was actually looking for a hatch before I bought the Lude, but got a great deal on it because it needed work!
I'm still actually looking for a set of beige sun visors. No one seems to have them around here...
