Problem: VSA kicks in and taps the brakes, any advice?
So I have a 2006 CR-V AWD. It has been working fine since I got it late 2014, but there's one problem...
March 2015, heading over the Washington pass (high altitude, dry roads but snow to the side) the engine light comes on, the VSA activates, and if I go over 3000rpm it starts tapping the brakes. The problem persists for a couple of days, coming on 10 minutes into any drive and then when I fill the tank it goes away.
March 2016, same thing as last year.
March 2017, it goes off over the pass to Oregon (high altitude, dry roads, snow to the sides), comes on 10 minutes into a drive but it vanished in the few days and a refill that it took to get back. I took it into a Honda dealership to see what they could find, but they suggested bringing it in when the problem is going otherwise they are unlikely to find anything.
Feb 2018, heading back from Crystal mountain, on it comes and I get it to a Honda dealership right away.
They replace the Rocker Arm pressure switch for three hundred bucks
I take it home, the VSA kicks in and starts tapping the brakes 10 mins into the drive home.
I take it back, for another 300 bucks they check that the rocker is working and replace the VTEC solenoid.
The VSA comes back on about 20 minutes into the drive.
Has this happened to anyone else, has anyone heard of it happening because the mechanics at Bellevue Honda seem to be clueless and now want to start digging around in the electrics.

Can you just turn it off with the switch ? If the engine light comes on i would start by scanning it, code should be stored even tho CEL goes away
