1996 CRV JDM import Brake Pads
Hello all,
I need some help from the Honda community to find some compatible brakes pads for my JDM CRV. I am having the most infuriating time finding a set in the states that fit. Currently I'm living on an island in the Caribbean and the only store that sells compatible pads charges way too much for them and they only last me 4 months. Every 4 months I take a couple weeks vacation in the states to visit my family and so forth. While I'm there i usually buy car parts because they are cheaper and I can avoid any import taxes. I tried buying ones that fit a 1997 CRV USDM but they didn't fit and no one would buy them. I didn't realize the US models were 5 lug wheels and had slightly bigger brake pads. So I did what I thought was adequate research and found a JDM site with detailed diagrams and part number. I ran that number through rockauto and got several results, purchased one and tried again 2 days ago. It didn't fit and now I'm frustrated. I can the super high quality brake pads from rock auto for half the price of what I pay on island and they last 2 or 3 times longer than island brake pads. I took some measurement of the old brake pads as well the tried to google the brand and part number. I am hoping you guys can help me find something compatible. I'm thinking at this point one of the Honda cars with lug wheels like an old accord or prelude or something. I really just need to narrow down a year and model vehicle with the same brake pads so I can use that to search on rockauto and so forth.
Googling the part number yielded this website with a list of Honda vehicles where several of them match the part number (7573-D465) on these island brake pads: https://www.buybrakes.com/topic/brem...pad-apps-honda
This is the part number listed on the JP parts site: 45022-S10-000

Been doing some research. I may have narrowed it down to a specific range of vehicles. Does anyone have 90s model Accord 2.2L 4cyl that they could take some measurements of the brake pads? Looking for early 90s Hondas with 4 lug wheels and possibly 4cyl engines.
If you get the part number off the brake caliper, you should be able to find which other models use the same calipers and thus interchangeable pads. It's usually on the surface that faces toward the rim.
