Icon7 DIY power increase for an '05 CRV?

Ok, guys, help me out here...I have an '05 CRV, AWD AT with 146,000 miles on it. I drive up to 100 miles a day for work in it. I am needing to increase power so I'm not getting ran over on the highway on-ramps, and just overall a little peppier.
I'm a Jeep 4.0 building expert- a cold air intake, header, free flowing cat and exhaust and using Dodge 4-hole fuel injectors would give a pretty decent improvement- but with Hondas I have no clue where to start, and where not to waste my money.
I know there are a million of you guys that have been building and racing Hondas for decades, and I'm not looking for a track car...

Can you -in a nutshell- suggest simple mods that are the best bang for the buck? i.e.- exhaust, intake, which yields the best results vs cost, etc, that I can do myself, so no cam swaps...Thanks!

You can try some of this stuff

But what you really need is a TSX long block

Get one with a manual transmission, i find they accelerate much quicker than automatics on the crv and element. Otherwise: header, cat delete, mendrel bent exhaust and cold air intake. Also k-tuner is working on a ecu upgrade
