Y8 alternator issues
98 accord has no gauge readings and shut off today at a stop was able to creep it abt 1/2 miles afterward then again died? Think my alternator is bad or any help would be great?

Remove, take to auto part store and have it tested

go have your battery charged up at a parts store, then drive the car like normal for a few days (if you can)
if the battery dies again after you’ve driven it at least a little, there’s a decent chance that your alternator is kaput.
if you’re still skeptical, pull the alternator and have it tested at the parts store. hopefully they say it’s fucked, so you’ll know the issue.
i’ve also had alternators test good, changed it, and had my dead battery issue be solved, so i don’t totally trust the parts store alternator bench test.
