Which throttle body did you use? You may have a clogged idle air control valve.

The one that came off of the blown engine.. I thought that I would use all known working parts from the old engine for the newer {used} engine , that I wouldn't have to worry about problems . Guess, I was wrong on that one .

Well, there still may be an issue with the throttle body needing some cleaning. It could probably work just fine, afterwards.

Well, went back to work on the car ( after being sick for almost 2 weeks ) . I removed the air cleaner and all the housing that went with it to check out the the throttle body and found that I didn't put the hose to the brake booster on to the in take . Connected it and started the car and ran the way it should . Problem solved.... I figured that I would recheck and make sure that all the connections were connected . Did that and found that a connection to the tranny wasn't fully connected - touched the wire and it pulled off very easily , got it to connect . Went to start the car and wouldn't start. the lights and eveything came on but no cranking , went to pull key out and it wouldn't come out of the ignition - couldn't even move the tranny into neutral . unhooked the battery and was able to remove the key from the ignition and move tranny thru all the gears . Hooked the battery back up and tried to start the car again and same problem of no crank and removal of the key until battery is disconnected . Whats going on here ???

Did you replace the ECU? If so, the immobilizer is probably locking the car down.
