Do CRV Gen 1 support OBD-II/ELM327?
Do CRV Gen 1 support the OBD-II/ELM327 diagnostic interfaces that are a dime a dozen on ebay?
These links seem to imply it uses an outdated connector, is there possibly an adapter available to allow it to use the ODB2 port diagnostics plug?

Your video is correct and shows the correct location for the ODB1 diagnostic plug for the European marketed CRV. However towards the end of the life of the mark one CRV (approx 2001) they installed a sixteen pin diagnostic connector just above the bonnet pull handle (worth getting down there with a light and having a look.
Further to above some places still retail the Haynes repair manual which shows both diagnostic plug location’s, so it might be worth getting hold of a copy.

My 2001 CR-V's OBD II connector is in the front passenger's footwell. Stick your head in the passenger's front door and look behind the lower center console area (like between the stick shift and the firewall).
this. the obd2 connector is snapped into the passenger side sub dash frame on the center console. look at the side of the console under the glove box.

I'm in South Africa, seems we get the EDM Crv's because I found mine and it's the old Blue type ODB1, you can apparently short 2 pins and then the fault codes can be read by counting the check engine light flashes.
