Default Help with Remote Starter on 2000 Accord

Hey all,

New here.

I have a 2000 Honda Accord Special Edition. Actually it's my wife's car that previously belonged to her mother. When her mother bought the car originally in 1999 she had a Autostart AS-1414 installed with a bypass module AS-PKH2 at the time of cars purchase, I know this from her maintenance records.
Since we got the car from her a few years ago we never ever used the remote starter, until now. We always used the factory key fob, But now I tried the Autostart key fob and nothing seems to work, not the trunk, doors and especially the start feature. Battery for the Autostart key fob has been changed. Do I have to reprogram the Autostart key fob because it has been inactive for so long?

Her mom did say she hasn't used it for a number of years because it was draining her battery, now mind you she is elderly and did not drive the car much. The car just passed the 100,000km mark and it's a 2000.

Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.
