Ok, so i bought this car for a project, don't know much about it but willing to learn but i first want to know if this motor is good to build on or should i just invest into a different motor, either way i do want to pull the motor to work on the engine bay.

list of things to fix on this:
  • new motor
  • new manual tranny
  • coils all around
  • has gas leak on the side of the tank(not to bad)
  • body paint (has no dents)
  • motor bay repaint
  • minor interior fixes
  • speed/rpm gauges (i guess my speed)
i honestly just wanna redo it all but have many questions as i do want to put a turbo in it. i am running mobile 1 full synthetic oil and filter, dont really need the power steering so if anyone can help i would really appriciate it.

The F22B1 with a turbo cam and built bottom end will be good for 3-400whp depending on what you put into it. The F23A VTEC engine is also a direct drop in and works well with boost. Race Engineering have a lot of performance parts available for these engines. .

If you were going N/A I would say DOHC F20B or H22 would be your best bet.
