I was driving and my 1990 Civic just died. It acted like I was out of gas,but I had gas. Now just will crank but not fire up.i sprayed carb cleaner in the intake and it still wouldn't fire up. I'm guessing no spark,what should I do?

 

Any CEL's? Any blown fuses under dash and/or under hood? Is the main relay clicking and can you hear the fuel pump running when you turn the ignition to the ON position?

 

Take off the distributor cap and make sure the rotor is bolted on, screw comes out sometimes.
Also make sure you didn't snap your timing belt.

 

How would I check the timing belt?

 

Yes main relay is clicking when I turn the key. Also can hear fuel pump prime the injectors when you turn the key on. No check engine light on dash

 

Peel back the carpet in the passenger floorboard and see if the ECU is flashing any codes.

 

Pull off the valve cover and the upper timing cover.
