Performance chip? Did you buy that off eBay or something? Because there aren't any "plug-in" style chips for this car.

Alright guys, so I have my honda in at the dealer getting looked at but I need some of your ideas on what would be going on. I have posed about this before but I think by doing more research on what my check engine light was on for I think i may have found the issue. Mind you i have only had this car for about 3 weeks and from what I was told it was rebuilt and only had 30k, Chassis has 238k.

2003 Honda Civic EX

Mods:

Headers with no Cat Converter (not legal in my state so theres one issue for me)
Full exhaust
Cold air intake (unsure of brand)
Innovative Performance chip
Stage 3 clutch

My problem is when I am driving the car after its had time to warm up, Approaching a stop light or sign I go into neutral and coast and my car stalls out. I have also noticed even at stop in park with parking brake engaged, just pressing clutch makes RPS go real low and sometimes that alone can make the car stall. sometimes when stalling out it won't restart, and thus needs a jump.
from doing research on what codes my check engine light was throwing off I had a good idea of what my problem was but I want another persons advice.

The following codes were being read:

P1259-VTEC SYSTEM FAILURE (Which the dealer said they fixed of me when I had it in for recent takata airbag recall)
P0135-O2-S1 HEATER
P0141-O2 S2 HEATER FAILURE
MISSING MY B2 O2 SENSOR HARNESS

Have you removed that "performance chip" yet? If not, I'm almost 100% confident its the root of the problem. As I've said before, there's no "performance chip" for the 2001-2005 Civic. That's a scam product, and is usually a resistor in the box reducing the electrical output of a sensor (commonly the MAF or MAP), which forces the ECU to run the WRONG fueling mode. This can cause internal damage, and can actually reduce performance (contrary to what the ad will claim).

 

remove the chip, wire back in the o2 sensor, clear the codes
