No spark on cylinders 2-4
I got a 92 cb7 with a f22a1 the other day for cheap. Long story short,PO said his son was driving the car and it just died and wouldnt turn back on and it sat for 2 years. I bought it,took it home, put in fresh gas and oil,oil filter, checked my fuel filter to see if i was getting fuel. Had fuel,so i pulled the plug in cylinder 1,had spark, tried 2,3,and 4 and got nothing. Took the dizzy off and there was oil standing inside of it,so i replaced it with the dizzy on my 91. No spark at all now..do i need a new dizzy? Someone told me 91 and 92s are different because one is internal coil and ones external,so does that mean theres no way to make it work? I'm just wanting to make sure i get the part i need before i start replacing stuff that doesnt need replaced yet lol. Also, where can i find a dipstick for the 5spd in my car? Been searching everywhere except local pick and pulls

Try cleaning out the cap with some rags and cleaner first and put the old distributor back on. If the oil is standing in there it could make it fire at the wrong time. I would take the ignitor assembly out of the distributor and take it to an auto parts store and have them test it to make sure it’s working properly. I’m sure there’s a way you can convert the internal coil of the 92 to the external coil setup on the 91 but I would think you’d only do that if it’s a permanent option.
Found my issue. Timing belt was snapped. Pulled head and checked pistons, they are good so i bought a new timing belt today, gonna finish it tomorrow and see if she starts
You didn’t bend a valve did you? Because if you didn’t with the belt being snapped you’re the luckiest guy I know lol just make double sure that you don’t have a bent valve because it would suck to get it all back together to find that out. Ask me how I know lol
so i should take the head back off and check again? Lol
Luckily you don’t have to take the head all the way off to check for a bent valve on the F22A1. Pull the rocker arm assembly off and set it to the side and then take a straight edge or ruler and put all the way across the intake valves and then the exhaust valves. If one is sitting lower then the rest or sitting crooked then that valve is bent

No problem at all man! When I bought my 95 Coupe the guy said it just blew a head gasket and I didn’t think to check at all and got everything together and then I found out I had a bent valve and had to tear it all back down
