Default 88 crx si Engine pulls the shifter

Hi there,
I'm new to the forum and Hondas. I recently bought a 1988 CRX SI with a B16a engine swap. It has a short shifter. In some scenarios, the engine has enough play (forward to back) to pull the shifter into another gear. I'm wondering if this is a result of worn out motor mounts or another issue that someone else may have experienced. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

your right on the money there
for that to happen its one of 2 things that it could be
1st is a worn out rear engine mount
and 2nd a broken or no longer bolted on bracket to the rear engine mount
the bolts might be loose or missing

Hi Everyone, the motor mounts are repaired. I have Hasport Mounts, so I just replaced the bushings (6 in all); cost about $80 with the shipping. Replacing took less than a day, but it was my first time. It's like driving a completely different car. Thank you!
