Default dual bend short shifter options

Well after roughly 3yrs of driving with my cheapo eBay short shifter, it finally happened...3rd to 4th and my arm flew to the back seat like an abusive parent.

so I ordered another cheapo haha hoping for just as long of a lifespan out of this one and that suits me fine over a skunk2 for $180+..thats just not realistic right now so I got a dual bend this time and I can't find any decisive answers on the direction it's supposed to go.

My now broken single bend shifter comes up then bends towards me/the rear of the car. Which could very well have been the wrong way this whole time, it just seemed like the better of the two ways it can go I guess. Still wasn't 100% sure though.

So does the first bend on the dual bend shifter come up then bend backward (toward rear) or forward (toward dash) before it goes up again for the ****?

Pretty bad drawing of what im asking here but if it makes sense do you think it's direction (A) or (B) ??

thanks a million!

Yes, like in example "A". The shift **** goes closer to the REAR of the car.

Thanks guys! Got it done yesterday in the bitter cold. Went with example (A) and replaced the stabilizer bushings while I was at it. Now just gotta pray the thing doesn't snap again anytime soon haha..or at least until warmer weather gets here 😩
