I’m in Houston and in the market for a used Honda Ruckus.

Looking for advice on common problems to look for and also advice on what to pay.

Do not buy someone else project, unless you can vouch they knew what they were doing. Unfortunately, the ruckus scene has become a bunch of misinformed people who just buy stuff and and throw it all together. Then end up selling the project because it doesn't run right.
Try to buy something stock. A good price for something stock with minor bolt on's is $1500-1800. I'd tell you to read up on Totalruckus but the website is currently down.
