So I've heard that many people experienced "spongy" pedal feel after installing Advics + 350Z's rotors. Is there anything I could do to prevent it (I'll be upgrading my 9gen accord coupe'c brakes in spring)? A different master cylinder? Any other ideas?

 

Booster? Braided Stainless Lines? Aftermarket Proportioning Valve?

 

When I went to larger rotors with NSX calipers the brakes felt softer than my wife's car. They also stop quicker with less pressure which may account for the difference in feel. They have been bled numerous times and the "feel" stays the same. I would not describe is as spongy, but soft. The same amount of braking with less pressure. And no fade.

 

Its a ~13% increase in pedal movement.

The CR-V/RDX/RL brake master *might* work in that chassis. Not sure.

Using a pad with lots of bite and relatively low compressibility will help.

I found that Bendix Semi Metallics work really really well in those calipers. Too bad they're discontinued AF. Get them while you can!

no problem.

Avoid changing the MC as much as you can. You'll either need to buy a reverse bleeder or take it to Honda for an ABS actuator bleed.
