Accord Head Gasket

2001 Honda Accord 4 cylinder F23A4 engine. I purchase a factory head gasket that came in 2 pieces (steel) riveted together from Honda dealer parts counter. Is there a reason they are made like this?

the only thing I can add is that that is completely normal...no idea the reason
