Exhaust Suggestions
Hi, can anyone recommend a good exhaust for my Integra? It's a 96 gsr naturaly aspirated. Looking for something that sounds a little better than stock but not too loud. Neighbors. Thank you!
It's hard to find anything other than stock that's not way too loud. I ended up having it done with 2" pipe and magnaflow, but they had to put in a resonator. It worked well. It sounds like engine. Very nice. I don't like the loud tuba sound that everyone seems to like.

If you are going to a muffler shop to go custom, start with a piping kit. That way you have mandrel bent piping, at the correct lengths and angles, instead of crush bends and possible fitment issues.
Then select the end muffler and resonator of your choice.
Do you have plans of replacing the header/cat or building the engine etc? If not, I would go with 2.25"
I got a kit from this company plus a magnaflow resonator/ end muffler. I was very pleased.
Staying 2.25", with a magnaflow 22" resonator and 5"x8" end muffler would sound very nice, especially with the factory cat/header...

I vote for Apexi WS2. Reason is, the tone is deep and not raspy or annoying. I did allot of research and listened to videos before I purchased.
No offense, but I would not pay a shop $150 for a custom exhaust unless I was getting straight pipes. They are just going to slap on the cheapest muffler they can find and it's going to sound like crap. Not sure how any shop could make money like that either.

It was suggested above that you could get an entire custom setup, including the muffler for $150.
$150 for labor would be expected. $150 for parts and labor, well then you get whistle tips.

Not sure what a built B20B entails, but if it has higher compression pistons/more aggressive cams etc, you probably want to go with the 2.5" or maybe even 3.0", depending on your goals. You didn't mention your header or catalytic converter choice yet either.
Agreed, the OP specified 96 GSR N/A, not built B20B. 2.35" might be a bit restrictive for that engine.
