Default Breathing Life into an EF (Build Thread)

So I decided after a long time I need a hobby away from computers which is going to be my job soon. I chose this! The daddy(not a father or daddy) wants to be pulled over car!
What I have planned so far.
1. Suspension
2. Front windshield glass
3. ECU is in limp mode. (My brother believes it is the wrong one)
4. Radiator replacement and upgrade
5. Block sleeves
6. Turbo
7. Rebuilding the transmission (it does not like second gear)
8. Motor Mounts
9. Fixing the stereo system
10. Replacing the exhaust system, its aftermarket I haven't looked at it yet so I'm not bothered by it currently as it functions though it is annoying.
11. Installation of a special button to go into angry mode (I'll post a photo of said button once it arrives form Australia)
12. Headlights (these will get you killed they are so none existent)
13. PAINT, FRESH RALLY RED

4-7 are going to be done all together since the motor will have to be pulled anyway.

So this is a B2a? (can't remember) engine swapped into it already and I am currently looking for more of a time attack or rally style build, I've always wanted a turbo and since I am not getting younger I will have these nice things. The vehicle is in limp mode and refuses to go above 4,000 RPM. It starts and runs rich but it will get to and from the grocery store just fine but with that radiator being useless it can not stop for long. I'll add interior shots soon.
Engine bay

Completed:
New side mirrors
Preparing to install a new driver's side door handle.

Looks like you’ve got yourself into something almost as bad as when I bought my rex nothing better than picking up someone elses botched swap project!

Sounds like you’ve already got your head around how much work is ahead of you, so that’s a plus. I will look forward to seeing this come together

edit: Just noticed, what is up with that intake filter? How does it get air?

It gets a fresh supply of air by moving. Right now while I debate about how and what to install for a suspension (as I am very unfamiliar with suspensions period) I'm working on sourcing new clips to mount the driver's door panel to the door. I've seen clips will break and some say they won't. So I figure I'll take the inside door skin off next weekend.

If you're looking to do some legit racing, getting some adjustable coilovers would probably be your best bet. I can't say I have any recommendations that I've actually used (I'm too poor for adjustable suspension), but I hear good things about Skunk2, Ksport and Function&Form for brands.
