EK b20v power steering help
howdy gents and gent-ettes....
keeping it short and sweet, i have a b20v EK hatch that was originally an automatic w/ power steering.
im looking to get better steering response back into my hatch
unfortunately, i gave the motor away and the old PS pump to the guy who did the swap to lower the price.

so, i still have the lines coming from the rack hanging out in the bay and i still have an unplugged reservoir, but im stuck between a rock and a hard place.
my PS rack has had a lot of abuse, the inner tierods are gross, and the boots have been ripped long before i acquired the car, before the swap. while it is not leaking, it is very gross in the rotator joints.
my question is stuck in between a few places.....
-get a manual steering rack
-loop the current PS lines
-get a new PS rack from a parts store (only a few hundred + new inners/boots)
-get a compatible PS pump and get the original rack running again.
From what i hear, if i loop the lines (its not even closed off right now, its just suspended above my brake booster to prevent spill), the steering will get even tighter?
but if i decide to get a new pump to utilize what is left, im not sure what kind of pump is compatible with a b20v, then need new belts, and bolts, and idk what else is missing....
who has some sound advice on this one? what would you do?
again, ek hatch with PS rack, with no current PS..... res/lines are there, pump is gone.
