Default Help, something is wrong with my car, anyone have this problem before?

Okay, the symptons are this....
my car stalls when im driving like say downhill.. usually, when im going downhill, i just step on the clutch, and just let it roll downhill... Recently, my car just stalls! It used to never do this. Luckily i just let go of the clutch and my car starts up while im stilll rolling.

Another problem is my car stalls a lot easier now when im reversing.

Another problem that happened twice now, is that my check engine light would come on, and my car would be a lot deeper louder tone, and my car stinks, and my car idles less then 500 rpm. The wierd thing is, I decided to quickly shut off my car and turn it on right away, and my Check engine light disappears, car is quieter, car revs like it used to..

So i have no idea why my car keeps stalling on me when i keep stepping on clutch. is my clutch pedal too lose? ( i noticed that my engage point is really short from the floor, it engages about less then 1 inch off the floor, does this have anythign to do iwht it?)

Help me ppl... thanks again, i want it to stop stalling on me. thanks again ppl. greatly appreciate it.

by the way, gas has no effect on wether i stalled, it has happened even at 1/2 tank or more..

keep the tank filled at least half way in th ecolder parts of the year. condensation will build in the tank otherwise and water down the gas!

This was happening to me also. I think it may have been for a different reason though. What had hapened with me is that one of the springs in the clutch had wedged itself inbetween the plate and the flywheel and was not letting it engage and disengage correctly.

what symptons did your car have? did it do all the same stuff my car did? cuz my car doesn't engage or disengage that smoothly either.

Any extra smoke from when you start it up? What color? Just asking b/c of the smell, seeing if it's connected.

i've heard of automatics stalling while rolling down a hill in neutral. never heard of this happening to manuals though. no idea why this happens.

why do you roll down in hills in neutral anyway? besides the fact that it's illegal, it puts unnecessary stress on the brakes. are you trying to save 2 cents in gas?

21710. The driver of a motor vehicle when traveling on down grade upon any highway shall not coast with the gears of such vehicle in neutral.

when the engine light comes on, i think the computer protects the engine by running extra rich. that might account for the smell or whatever.

how long since a FULL tune up? wires, cap, rotor, plugs, fuel system clean, t-body clean and the rest?

that is what it sounds like to me. either that or bad gas, do you always get your gas at the same place? switch to a different station.

and there is no mass air flow sensor on an integra. there is a MAP sensor, which is a manifold actual pressure sensor. the MAF and MAP are very different sensors that complete basically the same task. there are no hondas that I know of that use a MAF.
