Default 94 EX Accord Starter

I want to replace my starter motor (94 Accord EX F22B1) but would like to avoid a rebuilt one. So to get one as new as possible I compared part numbers. The Honda catalog (Majestic Honda) lists a different part number for the 98-02 EX (F23A1). All starters are Mitsuba. Since the starter mounts on the transmission, and the 98-02 transmission is different, maybe that is the reason for the different part number. So I would appreciate any input on this.

I'd bet if you do a little searching you will be able to order a new unit for your Accord - yes most "parts stores" won't stock it but they could order it or someplace online would be able to ship you one in a few days......a quick search and rock auto had a new one for $80~$85.

Unless you were going for something else

When I said "new" I meant OEM Mitsuba or Denso. Rock Auto sells new ones, but not the brands I want.
