Stage 4 too much?
I have a Stage 4 clutch in my 97 integra for a while. I was driving it for a week and then as a result my pressure plate and flywheel got burned somehow that’s why is was slipping. Then I got my car back again with a new pressure plate and flywheel and about two weeks into it started slipping again and just reved. Btw when it’s cold it’s normals but when i drive it for a while it starts to slip and rev? Do you think that stage 4 is just a little overkill for my stock engine?
I’m running a stage 4 competition 6 puck clutch and I’m not sure of the pressure plate as it was replaced but I’m only asking because one of my freinds was running one on his and didn’t give him no issues then again he wasn’t really sure if it was a stage 4.
I think the issue is that you're probably using a cheap ebay "stage 4 yo" clutch disc that most likely wasn't properly broken in. It also probably isn't very compatible with whatever pressure plate you have. Just get a high quality, normal clutch disc, install it following the HELMS manual exactly and go through the break in period.

This is what I think every time I see a stock engine N/A with a stage 4 clutch....
Run oem. Exedy organic came with your car and many people drive them over 150k without replacing them. You don't need a racing clutch unless you increase horsepower. You want to get a high quality lightweight flywheel if your looking for instant easy power. Well maybe not horses, but the engine will wind up faster! Even if you do get a racing clutch, stick with Exedy.
