Hey! I just got my used TEIN Monoflex EK9 Type R coilovers. The rear coilovers have some kind of soft foam on their top hats which the previous owner seems to have added. Does anyone know why you would add this foam?
It is still pretty soft at the top, but on the bottom of the hats between the spring and the hat it is hard as metal. I guess it kind of acts like a bushing, but I dont see why adding it besides preventing metal to metal contact.
